Siegrid...
While I may at times seem to be one of those stirrer-uppers (and darn
it, sometimes it just feels good to let off some steam), this time I
will refrain from doing so. I'd like to try to bring some calm as it
seems that the many irritants on this forum (many of which are really
good entertainment if one likes that sort of thing) appear to be getting
to you. With all gentleness, due respect and sincerity, you did open
your website to scrutiny. Your request for examination was taken
seriously and those who are responding are doing so with their
legitimate concerns. You have to remember that this form of
communication is stripped of all the clues that indicate the true intent
and message of the sender. So, while the words may seem terse from some,
given vocalics and body language, they may be perfectly acceptable and
appropriate. And don't assume that disagreements or criticism is a
direct or personal attack. Read each comment as if it was coming from a
close and trusted friend. Sort out what seems reasonable, weigh the
validity and use what you can.
Regarding your website, when I looked at it, I had similar concerns as
did Leo. I might have voiced them more nicely, but aside from that, I
hope you reconsider and look at things more objectively. I truly wish
you well with your endeavor. Take the criticism you get as
constructively as you can and discard what you can't.
Regards,
Barbara
