I signed up to Meetup to sign up to an ORG event in Edinburgh (ie, a different city). Now I get regular invitations to 'morning coffee and zoomba in Stockbridge', 'candle and crochet workshops' (I may be conflating), and 'nordic walking'. Erm.... no thanks -- please go away. Just how flaming right on _is_ Edinburgh?! (it really is a foreign country...) On investigating, now, I discover I'm in the 'ORG Edinburgh' group (makes sense, I suppose), and that after a bit of hunting I can find a settings page where I can turn basically everything off. So it's possible to make Meetup shut up.
