Can Oscar detect if a profile was for 1.x or for 2.x? If so then profiles for 
different versions could happily live in the same profile directory. Old 
profiles could simply be ignored by the new version and the other way round.

Other than that, I don't have a preference for the default name for this 
directory. In the applications we've deployed so far, we've changed this 
default anyway (a dot-style directory looks a bit strange on Windows for 
example, so we even vary the name depending on the platform).
