Category: Installation Group: 2.2 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 9 Submitted By: Neil Gorsuch (ngorsuch) Assigned to: Brian Elliott Finley (brianfinley) Summary: ia64 clients crash on initial kernel boot when sis loading Initial Comment: On both an older Itanium-1 machine, and a new Itanium-2 machine, and another vendor's Itanium- 2 machine, the initial loading of the compute node clients fails. This happens when the initial kernel is loaded over the network and tries to boot. The kernel crashes with a message about "cramfs: wrong magic" and another about "bogus logical sector size". This is with oscar 2.2b5 running on a fresh redhat 7.2 install. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=109368&aid=693341&group_id=9368 ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Scholarships for Techies!
