Not to pour gasoline on the fire, but...
When I was testing OSCAR 2.2b5, I attempted to download and install ganglia
on RedHat 7.3 and got failures with both the 2.1.1 version and the 2.2b1
version (the two versions available via opd). Here's the output I got:
With ganglia 2.1.1-1
--------------------
Starting httpd: [ OK ]
Can't exec "/root/oscar-2.2b5/packages/ganglia/scripts/gmond_add_internal.sh": No such
file or directory at /var/lib/oscar/packages/ganglia/scripts/post_server_install line
30.
gmond_internal.sh failed at
/var/lib/oscar/packages/ganglia/scripts/post_server_install line 30
Failed running post_server_install for ganglia at ./install_server line 71
--> Step 3: Failed to properly install OSCAR server; please check the logs
With ganglia 2.2b1
------------------
Starting httpd: [ OK ]
Starting GANGLIA gmond: [ OK ]
Starting GANGLIA gmetad: /usr/sbin/gmetad: error while loading shared libraries:
librrd.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
[FAILED]
Couldn't start gmetad at /var/lib/oscar/packages/ganglia/scripts/post_server_install
line 35
Failed running post_server_install for ganglia at ./install_server line 71
--> Step 3: Failed to properly install OSCAR server; please check the logs
Needless to say, I did the rest of my OSCAR testing without ganglia.
BTW, I also used opd to download and install clumon and that installed
without problems.
