I discussed on this weeks core team call the reason why there are two different ganglia
packages out on the repository. The 2.1 version will not work with the 2.2 OSCAR suite.
The 2.2b1 version "should" have worked with the 2.2b5 stuff. I will see if I can figure
out what went wrong and fix it.
