Since y'all are on the topic, is it possible to turn ntp on to sync
internally but keep it from trying to connect to the outside world? My firewall just eats those signals and it can make booting (and
probably other things I notice less) take forever...
ie, add a "none" option to the time server list, but still run the daemons?
Yes, this is possible. Could you create an RFE?
This requires a slightly different config file, which I've done before, but I now forget the specifics.
