Hello, I'm back from the hollydays...
We had this discussion earlier in the year when I was using the Community Edition (which is "richier") and we decided to go on with the Official edition, more popular, easier to get a copy and all-in-3-cds...
So, we must put a note in the installation docs regarding this (I will open a bug relating it).
Bernard, you "got my attention" with the following: >I have installed both: >perl-Qt-mdk-3.006-5.i586.rpm >perl-Qt-mdk10-3.008-4mdk.i568.rpm
This is not good. The last complete and stable installation of Mandrake 10.0 + OSCAR 4.1 I had had just perl-Qt-mdk10-3.008-4mdk.i568.rpm. I thought this "weird" and I tryed to go for STEP 0 (OPD) with the recent branch and - guess what? - I couldn't run OPD.
I don't know at which point both perl-Qt packages started to being installed together, but this is not meant to be like that.
I don't know about the following, never got it:
>make[2]: *** No rule to make target `Selector.pm', needed by `all-am'. >Stop.
He have now 4 developers working to make Mandrake 10.0 work with 4.1, which is, at that point, a "must work". I have had success with this set before, a not so many weeks ago, and the only problem remaining at that time was the MySQL bug, which DongInn managed to correct. We are really needing to launch out 4.1 and it Mandrake is holding us, so, what do you think we should do?
Cheers, -- Fernando Laudares Camargos
