Hello Erich, Bernard,

Hi Fernando,
please try
export OSCAR_WIZARD_VERBOSE=y
for more debugging output.
I was searching for a command like this, thanks...
Also: please try the command
/etc/init.d/systemimager-server-rsyncd restart
manually. Does it work? If not, are the systemimager packages installed? If
yes, you'll need to debug why systemimager-server-rsyncd doesn't start up.
Systemimager are not installed, as other core packages aren't neither.
By the way: I did not see any checkins from you with adapting to the "mdv"
name! You remember mandriva now requires to have package directories called
distro/mdv2006-i386 !
Also the config files: wherever you have filters for "mdk" in the config.xml
files, you need to add "mdv" (or adapt, as you need). Especially in the base
package.
I have not commited my checkins yet, I had to leave soonner from work
this afternoon. I did verify most of the config.xml packages, but then
you may be right. I will double check them tomorrow. I don't know if I
have made by point clearly for you all, but the reason I see for this
separation is that I think we will drop "mdk" (Mandrake 10.0 and 10.1)
support soonner than we think, and stick with the most recent version of
"mdv" (Mandriva 2006).
This could be the reason why things go so quickly for you, mdv selects only
very few packages if the config.xml files are missing it, or the
distro/mdv2006-i386 files are missing.
It may be. Thanks, Erich, I will check all this tomorrow and will let
you know.
Fernando
Best regards,
Erich

Hi Bernard,
well, I really wasn't sure about the installation of the core packages before
Step 3 but it was always a question mark for me (an I would say I'm somewhat
famialiarized with the installation process), so I would support the idea of
changing the name of this Step...
Yes, perl-XML-Simple is installed and so is all the prereq packages - but
definitely, the core packages are not beeing installed correctly. I will check
this out tomorrow.
Thanks,
Fernando
