Hello,

I checked into OSCAR trunk a new version of netbootmgr. It is supposed to fix
some bugs (#214, #213) and help solving #207 for multi-architecture installs.

I've also uploaded netbootmgr to sourceforge.net and made it a sf.net
project (http://sf.net/projects/netbootmgr). This decouples netbootmgr from
OSCAR development and should make it useful for people outside OSCAR, too. The
latest version is downloadable there.

The most significant changes to netbootmgr:

- a command line interface has been added (netbootmgr-cmd). This can be used
to list and set manually the "next boot actions". It will be used to set the
  NBA for multi-arch installs.

- a set of commands have been added for gathering status information which is
displayed in the netbootmgr panel. Currently checking actively:
  - ganglia status (is the host active by means of ganglia heartbeat?)
  - systemimager status (checking systemimager status XML file, for normal
hosts this will just show that the host was installed and rebooted)
  - torque status (is the host free, busy?)

- there is an interface hidden inside netbootmgr for cluster power control by
using cpower, a tool which will become open source in a short while. The
interface becomes visible when cpower is detected to be available and
  configured.

Next plans for netbootmgr:
* make the status collection stand-alone, i.e. detach it from netbootmgr into
  a separate daemon.
* add reaction capabilities to the status daemon: do something if a particular
  state change is detected.
* make a web GUI for netbootmgr, some day get rid of the perl-Qt dependency.

Comments, help, etc... is always welcome!

Regards,
Erich
