Hi Dave:

They are actually different hardware.

The ones I am having problem with are IBM X330s and they have SCSI HD
and laptop-sized CD-ROMs.

I do not have the same problem with the IBM BladeCenter or the AMD
Opteron nodes (both have IDE HDs).  The BladeCenter has one CD-ROM drive
on the chasis, and the Opteron nodes do not have any CD-ROM drives.
