Now, I installed RHEL WS Version 3 (update 3) in the master node.
I successfully built the OSCAR image.

I have a few questions in step 4.

In the documentation (page 14),
Initrd and elilo.conf section: I am supposed to copy initrd-*.img file from the /boot/efi/efi/redhat directory.
I couldn't see the 'efi' directory under the 'boot' directory but I could see initrd-2-4.21-20.EL.img and initrd-2-4.21-20.ELsmp.img under the 'boot' directory. I coundn't find the efi/EFI directory under the /var/lib/systemimager/images/oscarimage/boot directory. BTW, I am using grub.

So, should I just copy initrd-*.img files from the /boot directory to the /var/lib/systemimager/images/oscarimage/boot .
Similar things in the systemconfig.conf file.

PATH = /boot/efi//EFI/redhat/vmlinuz-2.4.21-20.EL
Should it be /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.21-20.EL on my system?

I noticed that we have Serial ATA hard drive.
Do I need to add " [HARDWARE] ORDER e1000 e1000 mptscsih mptbase scsi_mod" in the systemconfig.conf file?

Thank you all,

YoungJun

Can you look at the console of one of the clients? They may have dumped
to the shell on an error.

BTW, what version of OSCAR? Sorry if you've been asked before.

I am still working on installing OSCAR on RHEL WS version. I uptated to update 3. I found laus, laus-libs, bind-libs, and rpm-libs from RedHat Network.

I am using redhat-3as-i386.rpmlist for build OSCAR client image.
How long does it take to build the image? Looks like it is stuck here
right
now.

Thank you,
YoungJun

I am not sure how much we are going to be able to help out with this
problem, as from the previous string of emails seemed to indicate
that
none of our developers has the right setups to try and replicate your
problem. Since we haven't seen this issue in other versions of
Redhat
Enterprise I think you are in more or less uncharted water.

There were a couple suggestions in that thread about upgrading to a
more recent version of RH enterprise WS. Did you do that or are you
still working from the basic distribution? Also, are you still using
the default rpm list?

This might be a beter topic for oscar-devel since I think this is an
unsupported version at the moment?

I have no experience with RHEL at all, just trying to gague where you
are
at.

Hi,

I sent e-mails a month ago and I still could not figure it out.
I am trying to install OSCAR on redhat Enterprise WS version.

I guess I am missing RPM files related to dhcp. Where can I download
this
file for redhat Enterprise WS version?
