If you use the up2date setup wizard, there is an option (not selected
by default) that makes it save all the files that it uses.  If you
make this directory /tftpboot/rpm you can use the gui and update the
files automagically and still ought to keep Oscar from freaking out. 
I believe this changes the default behavior of the commandline up2date
as well, but I have not verified that.
