This is really not an oscar questing anymore.. but, it's *possible* with
systemimager.. it's just a mess.
What you could do, is use another tool, other then systemimager, running
after the rsync in systemimager is complete, to blast the windows image
onto the windows partition. We do something similar here, image the
machine with systemimager, reboot, use ghost from PXE to image windows
onto the disk, then actually re-image the linux (fixes grub, yes,
probably easier methods exist..).
It's a mess.. but, dual-boot is a mess. Go grab a linux server, and
install an xserver (http://xlivecd.indiana.edu/) on the windows machine,
or install linux on the desktops and put up a windows terminal server,
it will save you no end of grief, trying to keep the images up to date.
For this case, I'd say just put linux onto them somehow (probably
systemimager), and ditch the windows requirement, it will save you a
tonne of support in the long run anyways.

Let me see if I understand what you are asking. You seem to want to
have OSCAR serve as an image server for dual boot images.
This will not work without a lot of fiddling. OSCAR itself is not
what you want exactly as it uses a tool called SystemImager to make
and send out stripped down images out for the purposes of high
performance computing. By default these are not designed to be used
by anyone directly (no xwindows etc).
You could use systemimager to send out Linux images that are not made
by OSCAR (just using oscar as an easy way to set up and configure
systemimager) but I don't think it is going to be able to send out a
dual boot image because systemimager does not store the disk images as
exact binary copies of the hard drives.
I am not an expert with systemimager, however, so I could be wrong.
This week, many of the OSCAR team are in Washinton at Supercomputing
so we might be a bit slow on the response.

Hi,
I try to set-up a small parc for a school in a relatively isolated place

we have around 35 machines (clones ~1GHz/256Mo). I look for a simple
system (for non computer savy) to install one or several machines in
case of problem. the PC will need to run both as desktop machines W2K
and a linux (mandriva probably).
is oscar the good bet ? reading the archives, it seems to be the case
but I could not find a tutorial or How-To for multi boot system.
Thank you in advance for all the help you could provide.
