Subject: Re: Re: [Oscar-users] oscar wizard preperation fails
Dear Bernard
Thanks for helps, otherwise I would not reached upto this
stage. Now I have a problem in the last stage.
I am using ibm e-server 226
which have a inbuilt broadcom gibabit ethernet card and I have onother pci
card in the computer. So when I have installed RHEL 3 it could not detect
inbuilt broadcam card so I have loaded required module for it and it works
fine.
so the situation is like that
eth0 pci card
192.168.1.7
eth1 broadcom card 192.168.3.1
I had
run ./install_cluster eth1
every things goes fine.It detects the client
machine and client machine was installed through network. I have rebooted the
client machine with the hard disk.
Every thing is installed on client machine
except the network card although client machine is also ibm e-server 226 with
the same configuration.
I have checked cleint machine with ifconfig but it
does not show any ethernet card.
Please help me in this regard

do a clean installation of your OS on the headnode before you try 4.2? At
a bare minimum please at least run the start_over script located in
/opt/oscar/scripts to clean off any cruft from your system before trying a newer
version. We currently do not support any kind of upgrade path between
versions and usually installing newer version on top on an existing version may
cause problems.

have succesfully able to install upto step 6 in oscar wizard. I have created a
image and in network setup I have collected the mac address of the client
machine and assigned it to I.P address.Upto this point every thing goes
smoothly.
