Subject: Re: Re: [Oscar-users] oscar wizard preperation fails
Dear Bernard
I have checked /etc/init.d/gmond status at headnode as
well as client node and both are running.
As for eth0 is concerned let me
explain the situation again. I had run start_over at headnode. As I told you
earleir I have 2 lan cards on both machine, one is inbuilt bcm5700 and other one
is 3c59x.
3c59x is on eth0 and bcm5700 on eth1. So I run ./install_cluster
eth0 again and everything goes smoothly. At client machine I have connected the
ethernet cable on 3c59x slot and booted it through network. First in boot option
I have given Network0 it did'nt work so I have given Network1 and it works.
Headnode collected the mac address and client node was installed through
network.
After rebooting it didnt shows any ethernet card through ifconfig
command so I removed tg3 entry from /etc/modules.conf and rebooted the cleint
node, this time it shows the eth0 through ifconfig command and start pinging the
headnode.
cluster instalation runs smmoothly but in test cluster step it
again shows the same problem i.e ganglia setup failed.
sorry for bothering
you again, but I have no other option, hope you will help
me.
regards
kashif
