Greetings,
I downloaded oscar 5.1rc1 (straight from sourceforge) and tried an install
on a fresh CentOS 4.6-x86_64 (I need 4.6 for legacy software issues).
I get an error that CentOS is not a supported OS; I tried oscar 5.0 and I
can proceed with oscar install. I have to use UYOK to get anywhere on the
imaging (I guess because the kernel in systemimager does not recognize my
hardware).
However, then I run into an issue with hard drives on compute nodes. The
system images, but on system reboot, I get a Kernel panic:
"mount: error 6 mounting ext3"
etc.
kernel panic not syncing: attempted to kill init!
I was grasping at straws and I tried both ide.disk and scsi.disk in Step 4
for building the image--neither worked.
My disk on the compute node is a Fujitsu 73.5 GB SAS 15K rpm drive.
The headnode has RAID; I have no issue separately installing CentOS
4.6-x86_64 on the compute node.
Any ideas?
Thank in advance for the help.
