Please, NEVER do that with oscar-6.x. Prefer the following:
- drop the oscar database (mysqladmin drop oscar),
- initialize again OSCAR (oda --init mysql).

Try removing "/etc/odapw" and see if there are other "pw" files in
/etc that look mysql related.
start_over should have gotten rid of them all, but sometimes not so much...
