Hey,

Do you have any logs about the MySQL problem? I never saw that problem before
so i really would like to have more details. I did a test last night and did
not have problems during that step.

About start_over, it is not currently supported for one major reason: it does
not support at all Debian systems so i need to revisit it for a real support in
oscar-6.x.

Again, if you can send me a bug report about the MySQL problem that will be
great.

Regards,

PS: of course code freeze means that we do not include any new features, not
that we think the code is perfect. ;-) I will wait for a full week without any
complete bug report before to release 6.0.1.

Ah - this is timely indeed ;)

I haven't been able to get past the "Define Clients" step in "oscar_wizard
install" for reasons that appear related to some MySQL stickiness.
Reinstalling MySQL, dropping the oscar database and reinitializing via oda
(as per another thread, a few days ago), seemed to work, but the database
is clearly confused. I was about to drop the database again and start
once more, but now I think I'll drop EVERYTHING and start from scratch to
test the code freeze.

Short of formatting and reinstalling the OS, what is the cleanest way to
remove all traces of a previous OSCAR install (attempt)? Use the
"start_again" script, as in 5.x and then manually clean up the remaining
dregs as best as one can discern them from e.g., timestamps, dirnames and
filenames?

Thanks
Chris
