I am sorry to bring up the old story now but I have a suggestion to make about
git + subversion.
I have used subversion for a while (> 8~9 years) and I started to use git a few
years ago. I realized that I need to combine these two version control systems
because I can not give up none of these. Each of them have some pros and cons.

If I need any small local version controls, use it in my local git repository.
Once I am very happy with my changes, I can sync up my git repository with the
subversion repository.

I understand that not many users have the OSCAR svn write access and they can
not really sync it with the OSCAR svn repo though.

Regards,
