high service fees is partly true, depending on which service provider you choose. but of course, unlike the proprietary world, you have lots of service providers to choose from to support a single product, free market rule of price and demand plays better here compared to proprietary world where one single entity monopolizing a particular technology. > > As for internal IT dept, they should learn to work with OSS so they will be > able to master or even customize their own system. That's the idea of having > the source code to play with. not all companies have IT departments, and not all companies have the time/money to invest on one. current trend is to outsource. so, total-cost-of-ownership matters here. being an outsourcing / service providing company is one way to make money out of FOSS :D > > > -- > Best Wishes, > > ApOgEE a.k.a JeRuNgKuN > ---------------------------------------------------- > https://edge.launchpad.net/~apogee - ApOgEE on LaunchPad > http://artofapogee.blogspot.com - Art Of ApOgEE > http://coderstalk.blogspot.com - Coder's Talk > ---------------------------------------------------- > > > > -- Mohd Izhar Firdaus Bin Ismail Amano Hikaru 天野晃 「あまの ひかる」 Fedora Malaysia Contributor & Ambassador http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/MohdIzharFirdaus http://blog.kagesenshi.org 92C2 B295 B40B B3DC 6866 5011 5BD2 584A 8A5D 7331 --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Join Open Source Developers Club Malaysia http://www.osdc.my/ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "OSDC.my Mailing List" group.
