There are enough geniuses in Malaysia. I travelled all over the world i find their geniuses and ours are more or less the same. The difference is that they were looked at as and respected as unique and self-starters. There if you failed once, they ask you to fail more than 5 times, the average before one becomes successful. Here if you fail, you have to leave or bluff in your borang to say 'tak pernah gagal', 'tak pernah hutang bank', ... I met some of you and i say if you are in Paris or California you could be the next Hotmail or Facebook. When they started they had the same passion, not 'cari makan' but 'cari perasaan dorongan'. Their govts get out of the way. Their investors take great risks because they believe in the risks. How many nobel prize we have? Zero. How many dotcom success? Zero. Why? Senang jawapannya. Takut gagal. Kiasu. Takut dikritik. Asyik bodek. Asyik Pau orang merata. No wonder the Pau Lady stands ironically the symbol of our culture. I dont have to insult you further with stories how Yahoo! or Google really started. Go google for it. You will find they dont care about the numbers cos they started with no numbers. Just passion. Just wana do it. Get it? No! You dont get it. You ada masalah sikap. Tak percaya orang sendiri. Percaya orang Jerman lebih. Bila saya bawa pengikut Jerman saya mari, baru nak iktiraf memang orang Malaysia boleh pimpin sebuah projek dotcom peringkat world class. Sampai bila sikap sedemikian? When i get the numbers one day, i may be like Facebook. Would i care about asking you for grants? No! I will buy out the whole property in CyberJaya and put up signposts "MDec is a disgust".
