Hi Iiley - "chmod" is a Unix command line utility for setting file attributes, and yup, "cvs rm" is just short for "cvs remove", which you can probably do via Eclipse. Are you working on Windows? I'm not sure how to set the execute bit on Windows... maybe it could be done via Cygwin or some such? I might be overcomplicating this; it's just that I've never set up syncmail from a Windows machine... anyone else done that?
