How different do you think the language will be? Won't be much more than an extension of AS2, will it? Like I guess they could introduce true private variables or something, so that I'd have to change the access modifiers on a bunch of my methods, but it isn't too tough to adapt.

But it will require you to rewrite a lot of your code (new API , new language) and also to use a new "version" of the player (8.5) which might not spread as fast as 8.0 since IMHO there is less audience for Flex2 contents than for Flash8 contents. My question was : if you need to do again a lot of things, why not do again theses things using opensource tools and players ? (supposing they're available).
