It will be a million times easier to create an AS3 compiler with the specs, but someone still has to write that compiler even when the specs are released. Fact of the matter is, if we /really/ wanted to - any one of us could decompile Macromedia's own AS3 compiler in a matter of minutes, let alone hours - it's trivial to say the least.
