Irrelevant. It is not always best to do the "best way of doing things" all the time. Moreover everyones project is not "big". Moreover people dont always want to take the time to build a script. Interface and ease of use matters. You should not make the argument that because you do something one way that the way *lots* of other people do something is not valid. I promise you that not using ant is quite valid, particularly in flash where there are often no complex deployment issues. Java is much more complex and yet you dont need ant to take advantage of JARs. > If you don't agree, grab the source and do it yourself.. thats the > beauty of open source > With all due respect, this is a silly statement. It is the same argument that people make about the government. "If you dont like this country you can go somewhere else." If we all adhered to this there would never be any discussion about anything. We would all just declare what we intended to fix and we could shut the list down other than for announcements of our work. I respect Ralf enormously, and if he doesnt want to change anything that is *totally* his perogative. But I feel free to argue the merits when I feel that some factual or contextual issue is inaccurately represented. That is the other beauty of open source. But since you feel that if you disagree or have an opinion on some open source project you should "just fix it", I would imagine that we would no longer hear any suggestions or opinions from you, since you will just "do it yourself".
