Hi Folkert, >I have a little different see on this. >Especcially with in mind that osflash.org will always be the mothership >of osflash, so everything what takes places in a usergroup and is >importent to publish, it should be in the >osflash.org/user_groups/language space. >Also it still would be nice to have a lot of things (like project >intro's) to get it translated. The translated things should also be in >the namespace osflash.org/user_groups/language And maybe reffered to >from the orgininal place ( the osflash (english) page which got >translated ). > > I just must have not been clear: I don't think we see differently on this at all. I agree completely with everthing you've written above.

Someone had suggested the use of "Planet" a little while back. Would this fill the need if we set up an OSFlash Planet or are there better/other ideas? >Then if we all drive to osflash.org/user_groups/language it would be >nice if that usergroup can have it's own (navigation like) structure >(and i do not mean a TOC here, but in the menu at the left. > > This is purely an issue of hacking the Wiki to allow this. I'm not sure if Niko can step in here: He's the one with the most knowledge of DokuWiki that I know. I have no problems with it -- it just needs to be implemented. (I remember we ran into quite a few issues while trying to hack the navbar initially.) >Now it's always al projects in the menu, while it would be wishfull (i >guess) to have that space in the menu to put the usergroup navigation in >(then the TOC can be used for it's purposes). > > As the number of projects grows, it might make sense to have them in a combo-box perhaps in the Nav to save real-estate and free up space for secondary navs as you have stated.
