The virtual cull of MTASC because no-one has the knowledge (except Nicolas it seems) to add AS3 support into it leaves me very sceptical of a long-term future to haxe, and hence, I will not be investing valuable time to "push" it.
I also feel haxe is trying to be too many things, which I'm sure will make it far more difficult to maintain and be expert in all the fields it is trying to succeed in. Brings to mind an old phrase, jack of all trades, expert in none!
I prefer to use individual tools that do specific things very well rather than rely on one tool which while on paper does it all, in reality is going to be limited and probably disapper as soon as Nicolas is bored with it.
So for me, I will be using Adobe AS3 compiler for Flash stuff and not spend my time learning/using haxe.
Sorry.
