Concerning MTASC, the fact that I'm not working on AS3 support for it
does not prevent you to use it right now. It's still - no pride intended
- the best AS2 compiler around. And it will continue to be ! You know it
doesn't make so much sense to have MTASC3 since Adobe will release the
Flex2 AS3 compiler for free (written in Java, no doubt it will be
working on Linux as well).

And if there AS2 compiler is anything to go by, it wouldnt be as good as an MTASC3!

Let's think a few years in the future, when we will get ActionScript4 or
something like that - there was already 3 versions, why not 4 ? ;) haXe
will still be around and will add support for AS4 as well. I'm not
"bored" with my projects and I don't "let them down". Never. It just
didn't make sense to work on MTASC3 as I explained several times already.

I cannot assume haxe will still be around in the future. At present it seems there is only you developing it.
You stated only 2-3 weeks work to get MTASC as3 ready but you werent prepared to do the work. Even with pleas and offers. You have made the assumption MTASC 3 isnt needed because there will ba an Adobe compiler. Well there is an Adobe compiler for AS2, but its nowhere near as good as MTASC, which is the very reason people use it!

I think it would be wise that you at least try and evaluate it before
making such strong statements. When people rely on such vague
judgements, I'm not sure they know what they're talking about.

And you think I havnt tried and evaluated it!
For me there are many important factors in adopting a new language/technology. I am really sorry you are offended or think of me as not knowledgable enough to make coments on it!

If haxe ends up with a load of developers developing and maintaining haxe then I can think and look at again.
