Hi Nicolas, Sorry that I haven't had time to respond to this until now. This actually goes for trying out haXe as well; I just haven't had enough time to devote to testing it out at this moment.
One of the things that I'm interested in is how haXe works on the server-side. I am intrigued by this possibility and will definitely try it soon. The main difficulty that I see you overcoming on this part of haXe is hosting. Do you know of any companies that will be providing shared hosting with Neko VM and server-side haXe? Is this something that Motion Twin might be doing in the future? Also, I just started a new job at an educational company that makes a lot of stand-alone software that is intended on running directly on the user's computer. Traditionally these apps have been built with the C++, but more of this is moving to Flash projectors. Will you be implementing anything for desktop development using haXe? If not, I encourage you to think about it. Also consider that Adobe is working on a product code named Apollo to address this use for the SWF format. Anyway, I think it is a very promising tool and I look forward to working with it at some point. Thanks for listening to our concerns. -Chirs _______________________________________________ osflash mailing list [email protected] http://osflash.org/mailman/listinfo/osflash_osflash.org
