As for Linux & FP9
IMHO - I love Linux's stability for running anything web oriented - personally I would not touch MS servers for production sites & apps. For development I use Windows, Linux and very occasionally Mac.
Needless to say, when I have to spend several hours finding, downloading and compiling libraries just to get PHP 5, for example, working on my Linux dev server it starts to p*** me off.
I would hazard a guess that the enormous flexibility of Linux is a double edged sword and one of the reasons that it takes so long to get anything working, so my respect goes out to the people who have the patience to persevere for the benefit of a minority of people who use Linux, even if they do work for "them".
Also, remember who gave you your toys to play with in the first place...
Glen :)
