Martin, I will try to be there as much as I can :) And everyone else here, please, take a look at Cake and CakeAMFPHP and join the channel if you´ve got the time!

I´m switching to Flex2 Framework and I will be using the Flash IDE only for complex timeline linear animations and minor apps. I was simply amazed after experimenting with Flex Builder and the Cairngorm 2 framework, the boost of productivity and scalability power you gain with Flex2 is huge - complex apps actually become easy to implement in Flex2 while it is usually a big headache to implement on Flash.

Event though AMF0 is not nativelly supported by Flex, fortunatelly there are means to use it on Flex2 and that´s what made me happy - I will still use CakePHP and CakeAMFPHP on the server side and use AMF0 on the flex side to be able to use them (take a look here: http://renaun.com/blog/2006/04/04/25/)

Now that´s what I call a match made in heaven: Flex2 and CakePHP!

Cheers,

Marcelo.

well, its not too exciting. its only me and gwoo in there when were online, but
more people would be very welcome :)

while were on the topic of IRC we should have a rally to get more people on the
osflash IRC channel.

and someone should make a flash IRC client that can go on the osflash page.

that would be good :)
