definitely..its something i want to look at when i get some time..

hopefully an AMF3 php gateway will be around soon as well.

What Aral mentioned before which would be really good is to be able to scaffold 
a flex app as easily as possible straight from cake, i doubt it would be as 
easy 
as the html, but its definitely achievable. bake for flex. :)

i've checked in the latest code for client side type mapping, its in the 
cakeforge svn with a little demo (you have to grab it from SVN i've not 
packaged 
anything yet) :
