That's the problem, we need people with the needed skills and TIME to do that. I think that a few bucks don't "animated" anyone to start such a project, perhaps they're a good "price" or recognition if they're already working on it.

That's a gat idea but, who determine which projects get the money? I mean, we knows that a IDE is necesary, but if we only have money to one project, woule we spend it on ASDT? or maybe HXDT?
If we get some more money (to spend over various os-projects), which projects get it? That could be a war...
We could talk to PowerFlasher (FDT), they offer free-licenses of their IDE|plugin to os-flash projects (they have to complete some requests) Perhaps we could get a 25% discount or something similar to osFlash-users, That's not open-source, not free but that's great.
