Hi Robert,

Thanks for merging the plugin, it's a useful tool.

Curiously I have no record of Richard's
original posting to osg-submissions, not in my spam filter or my
archives, I don't know why it didn't get through.

Same here, it's puzzling. Another post of his didn't get through to me though I can see it in the archives, but to my knowledge those are the only two posts that have not gotten through to me in a good while.

It nice to have a .dot output, but... it does make one wonder about
the possibility of actually rendering .dot as well... In testing I've
been using dot to output a png file which I then view with osgviewer.

What tools are you guys using for viewing .dot files?

Same as you, using dot to convert to png then using an image viewer. Reading .dot files might be hard or introduce a dependency on graphviz, not sure if that's really necessary...

What *would* be nice would be to be able to display a graph of your scene graph inside osgViewer on a keypress. Say to show the graph starting at the viewer's sceneRoot on a HUD overlay. Then also have it refresh automatically whenever something in your graph changes. Then why not integrate it with osgWidget so we can move/create/delete links between nodes interactively. Hehehe... I'm not volunteering for this though :-)
