Hi Stephan, Rather than wait for a reply I've gone ahead and merged the changes for Cocoa support, and then in a separate check-in the ImageIO plugin. I haven't attempted any changes to the XCode projects, so these won't reflect the new functionality. You have write access to the XCode projects so I'll leave this to you to handle.
I will defer review of the Quicktime + protocol changes for a wider review of the protocol support that I'll be doing when reviewing your changes and other contributors changes at the same time. Let me know if I missed anything with the Cocoa and ImageIO check-ins.
