can you retest with the attached tarball?
It includes the compile fixes, and avoids the viewport dereference.
It turned out that I now get the resize event on realize. May be there was 
some bugfixing since I initially write that part of the code.
That should fix your crash.

Added is also dynamic allocation of states in the cull callback to avoid 
problems with multi screen viewers and an eneble/disable toggle to see the 
difference with or without depth peeling.

The clear color is now correctly inheritted from its parent.
