Go for it.  Looking at opengl.org docs it looks like 3.1 and 4.0 has
support for uniform blocks, as well as having
ARB_Uniform_Buffer_Object available.  I don't know how widely this
extension is supported though, and I expect GLES 2.0 won't support it.
  This does make me wonder how easily we can fold it's support into
code that targets GL2.0 and GLES2.0 as fallback is likely impossible
as the GLSL syntax is different.

Thoughts?
