Hi Serge,

As Wojtek suggests the traversal masks are usually used to add further
restrictions rather than relax them.  The
NodeVisitor::setNodeMaskOverride() is more similar to the type of
feature you are trying to achieve, perhaps this could be used for your
requirements.
