Thanks. I have a Atom based netbook that I should probably dig and
test against. Is there a particular test that I can do to reveal the
bug?

I've started reviewing the changes and I believe the a CMake option is
the wrong way to tackle hardware specific alignment, rather it should
be a runtime value that changes depending on the hardware available
when the app is run. Using CMake options really pushes us to have to
specific builds for indivual hardware combinations.

In the case of buffer alignment it may be sufficient and perhaps even
more efficient to assume a 4, 8 or perhaps 16 byte alignment. I will
need to think further about how best to tackle this issue as I believe
it'll got wider than just buffer alignment.

Robert.
