When you say objects, what specifically do you mean.  Subgraphs?  Leaf nodes?

My preconception is the transform feedback would be an order dependent
pipeline of handling vertex transformation.  Enforcing the strict
order required will require use multiple RenderStage/RenderBin or
RenderBin  sort order, or possibly a fine grained ordering enforced by
draw callbacks or extension to osg::Geometry.

It's also on my TODO list.  Unfortunately I'm rather stretched this
week and next with trips away so will only be able to get to tackling
more big submissions in a couple of weeks.
