Hi Joan, The problems you describe look to most likely to be issues with display listing of the geometries. It could be that they are just poorly conditioned datasets - one triangle per geometry is certainly very very badly condidtioned and needs fixing to be able expect any sensible performance level, or it could be that the models are simply to big for the hardware/OGL driver to cope with.
There might also be possibility of error in the data such as a primitive index that is invalid. This is also just speculation though... Robert.
