Hello OSG Training course attendees.
 
This email contains information regarding the upcoming OSG training courses.
Please ensure you install the required software in advance so we can dive in
and start coding first thing on Tuesday January 22.

Course Status
Both courses are confirmed and will occur as planned.
  January 22-23, Intermediate OpenSceneGraph
  January 24, OpenSceneGraph Terrain
Courses will meet 9am to 5pm each day.

Laptop System Requirements
Please bring a laptop capable of running OSG and compiling and running OSG
example programs. Our lab examples will build and run on Windows, Mac OS X,
and Linux.
 
You should install OSG v2.2. and the OpenSceneGraph-Data sample dataset.
(You should be able to successfully run "osgviewer cow.osg".) It will also
be useful to have the OSG v2.2 source code available to view.
 
Download OSG v2.2 binaries, source code, and the sample dataset from here:

You'll need CMake to build our example programs:

For the terrain course, we'll be using VirtualPlanetBuilder v0.9.1. Download
the 0.9.1 source ZIP file from here.

To build VPB, you'll need GDAL. FWTools is a good source of prebuilt GDAL
binaries:

As a course attendee, you'll receive electronic copies of all our books.
