Colin, Success! Using the later version of VDIG that you referenced, I was able to get a live stream to work with osgmovie. I'm using a KOCOM camera running video through a Canopus ADVC 110 A/D video convertor into a firewire cable. This is on Windows XP, OSG 2.3.5, Visual Studio 2005 debug, Quicktime SDK 7.3.
