If it is the 3D Connexion device then VRPN already supports it in
Windows and also on Linux with my driver. No need to hardwire this
device into OSG anywhere. I have tested it with OSG and to make a
binding of VRPN client to a camera manipulator is almost trivial, even
without osgVRPN, exactly as you outline.
