Hi Shayne, The wiki instructions was written in the very early days of the development of osgdem, and is awaiting a rewrite. Today I wouldn't recommend using --xx definition of the coordinate system, you are better off using geospatial imagery/dems. Are you files GeoTiff's? If so then dispense with the --xx command lines and just use:
osgdem -t n39_texture.tif -d n39_height_.tif -l 4 -o myterrain/myterrain.ive The coordinates will sourced entirely from the .tif files, there will also be no need to tangle with the -v vertical scaling command line parameter. The VPB version of osgdem also will created nested directories for you hence the myterrain/ directory above. Also temporarily archive support has been removed. Robert.
