Does your suggestion mean 2.6x for just OSX or for all platforms? I
initially tried 2.6 for VS 9, and it had some strange issues like creating 2
folders for each project.

Could you post the error messages?
Exactly which version of CMake didn't work?
Given the Cmake 2.6 has lots of improvements in support of OSX, what
about just dropping support for CMAke 2.4.x for OSX, and require Cmake
2.6.x for now onwards (i.e. for OSG-2.5.3+)
Thoughts?
Robert.
