Hi Bill,
Both CMake 2.6 and VS 9 are pretty new so it make take a little time
for 2.6 to fully support VS 9. This is an issue that needs to be
brought up with the Cmake team, but first we need to characterise it a
bit more - i.e. see others reproduce it, work out what bits causes
things to go unstuck.
I would help, but I currently don't use VS9 at home nor at work. I'll
see if I can set myself up at work and do some testing, since we'll be
moving in that direction eventually anyways and we have licenses already.
J-S
I develop CMake with vs 9, I am not aware of any issues with this
compiler and CMake 2.6. What problems are you having?
I was not aware of any issues either, but I was responding to another
user who said they had problems. See this post in the previous thread:
http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.graphics.openscenegraph.user/29771/focus=29815
Note that they just say they had problems, without more detail and
without seeming to have done much to see what would cause the problems.
I just said I couldn't check or try to reproduce the issue at the
current time, since I didn't have VS9 right now, but I would try soon.
Your attention to CMake issues is appreciated, but it may be a bit
premature at this point :-)
Thanks,
J-S
