Hi Paul,
"near" and "far" are not reserved words in standard C++. The variable names
should remain as-is.
Sometimes you need to pick your battles, and I like Mike have learned to
avoid using near and far as variable names, to avoid problems. But what
you say is true, and if the root problem is fixed, then they could stay
as they are for all I care.
... but the author of this recent change to
the OT Atomic header failed to consider this. This is broken and needs to be
fixed.
It's in the process of being rectified. I don't think Mathias
voluntarily broke the build on Windows... He didn't test thoroughly on
Windows, which is a mistake we all make.
