Hi Robert, I was discussing the possibility of using vpb in a more dynamic way where we could load geospatial data on the fly like ArcGlobe or ossim_planet without having to regenerate the whole terrain database. I believe this is something that you have stated is in the works for the future of vpb, but I don't believe has been implemented yet.
I noticed that osgdem can load in an existing scene graph that contains a TerrainTile from the command line. This seems like it might be used to update an existing scene graph, but I don't see how it would be used. Can you shed a little bit of light on what the bright future holds for us OSG developers looking to replace ArcGlobe with VPB?:) Thanks again for all your help last week with the Intel graphics card I was having, we got our release out and things are working great!
